ACORN encouraging felon voting in Virginia

November 4, 2008 by Soren

In Virginia, a Loudoun County woman reported that she is aware of ACORN staff contacting at least two felons to try to persuade them to vote. One of the felons is a cousin of the Virginia resident while the other is an acquaintance of her mother.

Last month, Gov. Tim Kaine of VA restored voting rights to 1,445 convicted felons in the Commonwealth. It is unclear at this time whether the two felons were part of the group that recently had their voting rights restored by the governor.

In regard to ACORN’s alleged fraud - please get you facts straight, and stop perpetuating party-line propaganda. Please refer to the non-partisan factcheck.org to find the truth behind the story - http://www.factcheck.org/elections-2008/acorn_accusations.html

This is such bullshit. ACORN can have Seasame Street characters fill out forms if they want. The voter who filled out the form would be the one commiting the crime if they showed up and voted fraudulently. Even if they did show up to vote the state would still determine if the vote was valid just as they determine if the registration forms submitted by companies like ACORN are valid. This is a bunch of bullshit that will not matter in a few hours. Felons can vote in some states as long as they are not on parole or probation or have filled out proper paper work as required by their state. The same types of people who created Jim Crow laws, pole taxes, hanging chads, and Deibold voting machines are the ones who want scare certain groups of people out of voting. ACORN can call who they want. This is a free country. If you think that felons cannot vote then why is this a big deal the person who made the call simply wasted their time. SO THE HELL WHAT!

Not everyone is stupid enough to fall for the “it’s only registration fraud, not voter fraud” line. Some of us are aware that fraudulent registrations can translate into fraudulent votes if there’s insufficient oversight of the polling place.

Gee…I wonder why Democrat Judges of Election have (illegally) kept GOP poll watchers and minority inspectors out of polls in Philadelphia today.

I wonder why precincts in Philadelphia seems to receive more Democrat votes than voters going into the polling place throughout the day.

Actually, I don’t wonder. I know how corrupt Philly Democrats are, and how they have such little respect for the Republic and rights to vote and have a fair election–rights that Americans have given their lives to secure and protect.

Ilana: Since I’ve personally looked through several hundred fraudulent voter registration forms turned in by ACORN workers, it isn’t just alleged fraud. It is REAL fraud. End of story.
